Gale Virtual Reference Library: This is a database of virtual encyclopaedias and reference texts from a variety of different disciplines. Of particular interest for Junior School students in this collection of databases is the National Geographic Kids Database.
World Book Online: World Book Online offers digital access to the World Book Encyclopedias, as well as dictionaries and atlases.
Kiddle: KIddle is a free visual search engine designed for kids. It filters searches for both content and lexile level and is an excellent introduction to using search engines for younger students. Along with a written description of the website, kiddle also provides a visual image so even the youngest student can use is as a search source.
